I am co-founder of the Jersey City chapter of the Feminist Bird Club - a group dedicated to promoting inclusivity in birding while fundraising and providing a safe opportunity for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, BIPOC and women to connect with the natural world.

In complement to my science-heavy career, I use my film producer skills to realise and document performance artists’ work. I work closely with these artists to understand their vision and plan how we can turn it into a reality. There’s a great responsibility to recording someone’s personal journey and presenting that as the physical record of the event, which I’m honored to do.

Chess in the Round (2021) a collaborative game of chess encouraging female-identifying and gender non-conforming people to learn and play this ancient game in one of New York’s most famous chess venues: Washington Park. Created by Nooshin Rostami.
Fault Lines (2018) a performance by Jemila MacEwan and Nooshin Rostami involving 52 oversized playing cards cut out from sheetrock that embodies points of tension and vulnerability of structure between two entities.
